O2Jam on Steam: Online, The Beginning, or Browser Play?
Searching for O2Jam on Steam brings up different games with similar names. The older O2Jam Online listing and O2Jam : The Beginning are separate products. If you simply want to play a seven-key rhythm game immediately, BeatCombo also offers free browser play without a Steam installation.
O2Jam Online: the older Steam listing
The O2Jam Online store page (app 2016940) identifies VALOFE as developer and publisher, with a January 2023 release. The listing carries a notice that the game is no longer available on the Steam store. Finding this page does not mean you have found the newer release.
O2Jam : The Beginning: a separate release
O2Jam : The Beginning (app 4189880) is listed under SuperTurbine Technology Inc. Its store description focuses on O2Jam music and desktop rhythm gameplay. Check that listing for current availability, supported key modes, system requirements and pricing before choosing it.
Do not assume every O2Jam release has the exact original seven-key format. Key modes and included songs depend on the specific title and its updates.
When to choose browser play instead
If your priority is to use a keyboard and play a chart now, open BeatCombo's song library. Play uses S D F Space J K L, with taps, holds, timing judgements and combos. Beginner charts use four of those keys to ease you into the layout. You do not need a Steam client or an account to play.
